The Russian veterinary authorities have confirmed another outbreak of African Swine Fever in Krasnodar Krai.

The Russian veterinary authorities have confirmed another outbreak of African Swine Fever in Krasnodar Krai.

There are 57 susceptible animals out of which 5 cases were reported. No deaths were recorded. However, all 57 animals were destroyed.

The source of the outbreaks remains inconclusive and an investigation is ongoing.

The specialists of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for Krasnodar Krai and Republic of Adygeya found 7 carcasses of 4-6 month old piglets at different stages of decomposition in the forest belt near the Settlement of Sokolovskoye, Gulkevichsky Rayon, Krasnodar Krai. The carcasses were disposed by burning and buried at the place of detection.
