Russia confirms a new outbreak of African swine fever in wild boar

The outbreak is located in the hunting ground «Dubrava», Okulovsky raion (Novgorodskaya Oblast) with 97 susceptible animals and 16 cases.

According to information received by the OIE on 14/05/2012 from Dr Evgeny Nepoklonov, Deputy Head, Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, Ministry of Agriculture, Moscow, Russia, a new outbreak of African Swine fever in wild boars has been confirmed.

The outbreak is located in the hunting ground «Dubrava», Okulovsky raion (Novgorodskaya Oblast) with 97 susceptible animals and 16 cases.
