At the end of the visit of the Community Veterinary Emergency Team (CVET) in Poland, all the measures taken by individual services in Poland have been evaluated positively.

In the course of the summary meeting, which was held at the Ministry, issues related to the support mission conducted on 26-28 February 2014 were discussed.

The representatives of CVET presented their recommendations. Experts from the European Union, Customs Union and the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) reviewed the Veterinary Inspection measures taken in connection with the confirmed two cases of ASF in wild boars. They have read the respective rules and organisation of the hunt management system in Poland. In addition, they got acquired with the organisation, test methodology and safeguards of the reference laboratory for ASF in the National Veterinary Research Institute in Puławy.
