The WOAH has published an immediate notification informing of the presence of African swine fever (ASF) in wild boars in the centre of the voivodate of Mazowieckie, near Warsaw.

Specifically, a total of 6 infected animals have been detected in Jablonna and Stanislawow (region of Legionowski) and in Laski (Warszawski Zachodni). As we can see in the image, the cases have appeared in an area located farther west in Poland, where no outbreaks had been detected up to now.

The African swine fever cases notified in wild boars have been detected in the area already subject to appropriate restriction measures regarding ASF.
