In December the National Agrarian Health Service of Peru (SENASA) initiated the national vaccination of 1,4 million pigs against classic swine fever.

For this 2011 campaign, they are hoping to vaccinate 50% of the country’s total swine population, which has reached 3 million heads.

This is the first of three phases of a national campaign that foresees having vaccinated 70% of their pigs in 2012, and 90% by 2013.
