Panama: Increase in pig slaughter, first nine months 2020

Between January and September 2020, the country's pig slaughter has increased by 2.4% compared to the same period last year.

According to data published by Panama's National Statistics and Census Institute (INEC), the country has slaughtered a total of 404,793 pigs (202,970 males and 201,823 females) between January and September 2020. This represents a 2.4% increase in pig slaughter compared to the same period last year (395,322 head).
