Nicaragua, through the abattoir Cacique, exported its first pig meat container to El Salvador.

The general manager of the abattoir Cacique, Antonio Suco, explained that in December 2013, the Ministry of Agriculture, Stockbreeding and Forestry (MAGFOR), certified the first operating plant, and this gave place to the attaining of a buying and selling agreement with El Salvador.

This agreement resolves on the exportation of a pig meat container per month and, with time, two monthly containers might be shipped.
