Netherlands starts building activities of the National Animal Facility for zoonotic research

The facility will be completed by the end of 2013 and will become available for research for academia and private companies.

The National Facility for zoonotic research in animals will be located on the compound of the Central Veterinary Institute (CVI), part of Wageningen University and Research Centre in Lelystad.

The facility will be completed by the end of 2013 and will become available for research for academia and private companies.

The new facility will accommodate research in livestock animals, for diseases that can also affect humans, like Q-fever and Avian Influenza and West Nile Fever.
