Mexico works to open new markets for pork products

In order to diversify markets and help farmers obtain better prices for their products, The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is working on opening new export destinations in countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

The agency is working on opening markets for beef and pork exports in Vietnam and the Philippines. Vietnam communicated its interest in scheduling a visit from its technicians to the interested TIF establishments in the next months.

Progress has been shown in the export of pork viscera to China, for which the authorities of the Asian country visited several TIF establishments in September 2019.

Also, in relation to pork, negotiations with Taiwan are progressing: Senasica settled and sent evidence of the recommendations made by the Taiwanese technicians, during the audit they made to TIF establishments, in order to recognize the Mexican veterinary surveillance and inspection system.
