Mexico invests 650 million pesos to guarantee the harmlessness of the meat products

450 million pesos will be directed towards the subprogramme for the support of the slaughterings of cattle, goats, sheep and pigs.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Stockbreeding, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) will invest, this year, 650 million pesos for the strengthening of the services and the infrastructure of the Federal Inspection Kind (TIF) premises, the Director-in-Chief of the National Service of Health, Harmlessness and Food and Agriculture Quality (SENASICA), Enrique Sánchez Cruz, informed.

In the frame of the convention of the National Association of Federal Inspection Kind Establishments (ANETIF), the federal civil servant detailed that, from the whole of the resources, 450 million pesos will be directed towards the subprogramme for the support of the slaughterings of cattle, goats, sheep and pigs.

From the rest of the investment, 200 million pesos will be used to increase and improve the TIF infrastructure in all the country, he pointed out.

He highlighted that the aim is to increase the capacity of these establishments and to guarantee healthy and harmless meat products for the consumers.
