Yevgeny Nepoklonov, Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, Chief Veterinary Officer of the Russian Federation, participated to the meeting. Vladimir Gorzheyev provided detailed information on eradication of African swine fever (ASF) outbreak in the Lugansk Oblast of Ukraine. The last case of ASF introduction was reported in the Zaporozhye Oblast in 2012. There were no ASF outbreaks in Ukraine in 2013.

It was decided to stop issuing veterinary certificates for products exported from Lugansk, Kharkov and Donetsk Oblasts. Vladimir Gorzheyev provided Sergey Dankvert with the set of documents required for the evaluation of the Ukrainian epidemic situation by the Rosselkhoznadzor experts due to the recent ASF outbreak and for regionalization for guaranteeing safe porcine product export from Ukraine to Russia. Sergey Dankvert assured Vladimir Gorzheyev that the evaluation would be completed as soon as possible. The Rosselkhoznadzor inspection team will visit the Lugansk Oblast in the nearest future.
