Latvian veterinary authorities have reported to the OIE seven new outbreaks of classical swine fever.

The outbreaks are located in Dagdas, Dagas and Kraslavas. The affected population consists of wild boar.

Hunting and sampling of wild boar is still on-going. Between 20 March 2013 and 27 June 2013, no positive CSF virus results were detected.
