The veterinary authorities of Kazakhstan have informed the OIE of the occurrence of serotype A foot and mouth disease on two cattle and sheep farms are located in Moyinkumsky (Dzhambul).

On the other hand, they have also reported new outbreaks due to serotype O, already existing in the country. In all outbreaks the aniamles affected are sheep and cattle. The affected farms are in Dzhambul and Alma-Ata.
