India - More pig deaths reported in Mizoram due to swine fever

At least 177 pigs have died in Buknuam and surrounding villages in Lunglei district while more than 150 have died at Laki village in Saiha district along Mizoram-Myanmar border, official sources said.

At least 177 pigs have died in Buknuam and surrounding villages in Lunglei district while more than 150 have died at Laki village in Saiha district along Mizoram-Myanmar border, official sources said.

Medical officers from Saiha, who visited Laki to conduct a spot verification, said that the pigs died due to the prevailing swine fever.
