Germany: the consumption of organic meat increases

The consumption of beef, pork, lamb and goat meat has increased.

According to the data published by the ICEX quoting sources of the German Organic Food Association (BÖLW), the German consumers have spent, during the previous year, 6% more in organic products, reaching 7,040 million euros.

This rise has been experienced especially by organic red meats (beef, pork, lamb, and goat meat), on which Germans spent, during the first eleven months of 2012 an 18% more than during the same period in year 2011.
