Germany - Decreasing stocks of pigs and cattle
As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on the basis of provisional results of the livestock survey, there were 26.6 million pigs in Germany on reference day (3 November 2009).
Compared with the previous survey of May 2009, the number of pigs was down by 1.3% or 344,000 animals.
