The Commission has today terminated proceedings on an aid scheme towards services of the Bavarian Animal Health Service with a positive decision, having found that the aid is compatible with the Internal Market. The measure had been in operation since 1974.

It consists of reimbursement to the TGD of the costs of preventive measures relating to the production of milk and meat and to the rearing of pigs, poultry, sheep and fish. Following a complaint, the Commission initiated a state aid procedure.
