OIE has reported Brucellosis (Brucella suis) in Brandenburg, Germany. Quarantine, movement control inside the country, screening, zoning, disinfection of infected premises and modified stamping out has been applied.

Russia imposed temporary restrictions on breeding pig importation from Germany and Czechia

Due to identification during the quarantine in Russia of brucellosis positive breeding pigs imported from Germany and Czechia, since April 27, 2012 the Rosselkhoznadzor has imposed temporary restrictions on importation of such animal category from these countries.
