On Wednesday 29 January the Commission published, pending the meeting of the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health, Decision 2014/43/EU concerning certain protective measures relating to African swine fever in Lithuania, of application until February 15.

Today, the Commission published Decision 2014/93/UE, in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health, maintaining the restrictions imposed by the earlier decision on the districts of Trakai and Šalčininkai in county Vilnius and the districts of Lazdijai, Varėna, Alytus, Druskininkai in county Alytus until 30 April 2014.
