EMA: New working group on veterinary antimicrobial sales

The Committee for Veterinary Medicinal Products has proposed a new working group to replace the voluntary European Surveillance of Veterinary Antimicrobial Consumption network.

During the latest meeting of the Committee for Veterinary Medicinal Products (CVMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), which took place last week, the CVMP adopted the mandate, objectives and rules of procedure for the European Sales and Use of Veterinary Antimicrobials Working Group (ESUVA WG – name to be confirmed), a new working group proposed to replace the voluntary European Surveillance of Veterinary Antimicrobial Consumption (ESVAC) network.
