Ecuador - Three provinces under quarantine to avoid propagation of foot and mouth disease

The Ecuadorian veterinary authorities have declared quarantine for the provinces of Imbabura, Manabí and Bolívar with the objective of avoiding the spread of a recent outbreak of foot and mouth disease.

The Ecuadorian veterinary authorities have declared quarantine for the provinces of Imbabura, Manabí and Bolívar with the objective of avoiding the spread of a recent outbreak of foot and mouth disease.

In Imbabura the outbreak appeared in the Lit and Intag districts affecting more than 100 sick animals while in Manabí it affected the areas of El Carmen and Bolívar, in the subtropical zones.
