The plant is located in Pinghu, 100 km southwest from Shanghai, and it will allow to supply the Chinese market with products produced with Danish pork. The plant has some 1,300 m2 and will be able to produce some 14,000 tonnes of processed pork products per year.

The goal is to establish Danish Crown as a premium brand in China in the next 5 years. The plant in Pinghu is the cornerstone of this initiative, because it will allow to offer fresh and processed products based on Danish raw materials to the Chinese consumers, according to the statements of Mr Jais Valeur, CEO of the Danish Crown group.
