Denmark: increase in the number of live pigs exported

The increase in the export of live animals is 1.3% compared to 2010.

According to the Danske Svineproducenter last year Denmark exported a total of 8,520,000 live pigs. This represents an increase of 1.3% compared to 2010, most of them piglets.
Germany, with 6,000,000 pigs imported from Denmark is still the main destination. There are also notable increase in exports to Poland (930,000 pigs) and the Czech Republic (450,000).
