The Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries (Veterinary and Food Administration) is announcing a campaign whose aim is to control and ensure that livestock producers obey the current laws concerning the storage and disposal of dead animals.
The background of the campaign is to strengthen the focus on the storage and disposal of dead farm animals. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the proper storage and disposal of dead livestock, but also to clarify if the producers obey the current laws regarding the storage and disposal of dead animals.
The control will be carried out during the period September-November 2014, in which a certain number of farms with livestock will be visited by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.
