Denmark – Antibiotic use in pig production should be reduced

According to Danish Agriculture Minister Henrik Høegh, the use of antibiotics in pig production sholud be reduced by at least 10 percent in 2013.

According to Danish Agriculture Minister Henrik Høegh, the use of antibiotics in pig production sholud be reduced by at least 10 percent in 2013.

This requirement, based on a new agreement with the parliament, also implies that mortality in sows should be reduced to 16 percent in 2013. Currently this is 24 percent.
