Decrease in the Danish pig census

As of January 2109, the all the categories in the Danish pig census have dropped.

The Statistical Service of Denmark published, last week, the data on the pig census as of January 1st, 2019. According to these data, the pig census has dropped by 1.5%, going from 12,832,000 heads in January 2018 to 12,642,000 heads in January 2019.

The decreases have affected all the categories, with a greater drop (-3.4%) in the case of pigs >50 kg.
