The European Commission Food Chain and Animal Health Permanent Committee approved, unanimously, the decision by means of which Croatia is allowed to export, without limitations, fresh pig meat and pig meat products to the European Union markets.

This decision, that will come into force after being published in the European Union Official Journal, puts an end to a long negotiation process. The process of conformity with the rules for the exportations of pig meat to the EU started on January 2005, after the end of the vaccination of the pigs against classical swine fever.
