Last Friday a meeting was held in Luxembourg between the Ministers of Health of the EU, during which, among other matters, the future steps to take in order to fight the growing antimicrobial resistance were discussed.

Every year, 700,000 people die in the world because of antimicrobial resistance. The European Union is responding to this growing problem by reducing the use of antibiotics.
