China's pork output to reach 53.6 million tons by 2015

Incentives and subsidies will be given to encourage pork production, in order to have a total of 85 million tons of meat.

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology states that by 2015, a wide range of food safety management systems, including ISO9000 and ISO22000, will be established fully in large and medium size enterprises in meat industry.

It is estimated that meat consumption will increase by 1.4 million tons annually, according to the plan. Policies will be carried out in favor of pig producers.

Incentives and subsidies will be given to encourage pork production, in order to have a total of 85 million tons of meat, including 53.6 million tons of pork by2015, to guarantee a stable supply of meat ingredient .
