China’s imports of pork and beef rose more than 90% in Q1 2016, while mutton imports saw a slight decline, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, according to Asian Agribiz.

Pork imports totalled 286,000 tonnes during the period, up 90.3% from a year earlier, while imports of pork offal rose 48.8% to 287,000 tonnes. Top pork suppliers are Germany, Spain and the US.
