In order to ensure the safe supply of meat in the domestic market during the COVID-19 epidemic, Chinese customs has taken various measures to increase imports. This year the General Administration of Customs has approved a total of 997 new meat companies, including 450 pork companies (as of March 24). From January to February this year, China imported pork and offal totaling 720,000 tons, an increase of 98.2% year-on-year.
