The WOAH/OIE has published an immediate notification warning of the emergence of a new ASF outbreak in China, specifically in the village of Laosongzhuang, municipality of Houjiaying, district of Jizhou, in the municipality under the central jurisdiction of Tianjin. It is one of the four autonomous municipalities in China, and it is located halfway between the two regions previously affected by ASF, although it is not in direct contact with any of them.
The outbreak started last October 10th, on a farm with 639 pigs, of which 189 died and the rest were culled.
