Chile - Ready to export pork to China

The news came up in a meeting held by the Minister of Agriculture, José Antonio Galilea, on an official visit to China, and the Director of the Administration on the Supervision of Quality and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ), Zhi Shuping, with whom he discussed several issues related with authorization of sending new agricultural products from Chile, to China.

The news came up in a meeting held by the Minister of Agriculture, José Antonio Galilea, on an official visit to China, and the Director of the Administration on the Supervision of Quality and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ), Zhi Shuping, with whom he discussed several issues related with authorization of sending new agricultural products from Chile, to China.

Zhi Shuping delivered the official letter approving four new processing plants, for pigs meant for exportation to China: Lo Miranda Ltda., Rosario Ltda., Las Pataguas Comercial MaxAgro Ltda and Coexsa S.A., now added to the list of plants previously approved, Frigorifico O´Higgins SA and Friofort. The pig health protocol was signed in April of 2008.
