Cameroon - Pig farmers mobilised against African Swine Fever

Stakeholders in the pig sector in the country say African Swine Fever constitutes one of the greatest threats to pig farming in the country and that all hands must be put on deck to eradicate or at least reduce the disease to the minimum.

Stakeholders in the pig sector in the country say African Swine Fever constitutes one of the greatest threats to pig farming in the country and that all hands must be put on deck to eradicate or at least reduce the disease to the minimum.

The National Coordinator of the Swine Development Programme, Dr. Marcel Casmir Ndongo Kounou said the disease is causing damage in the sector and that almost every year, pigs are affected by the disease between April and September and that they already have reports of the prevalence of the destroyer in some regions of the country.
