Brazilian pork exports increased last year

Data from the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) show that pork exports from Brazil (considering all products, including fresh and processed) increased by 9.7% in 2015, compared to last year, reaching 555,100 tonnes.

Exports reached 4,300 million reals, an increase of 14.3% over the previous year.

44.6% of total pork exports from Brazil in 2015 (excluding dry sausages) were destined to Russia, which imported a total of 243,600 tonnes, a volume 30.6% higher than in 2014. Hong Kong ranked as the second largest destination, with 22.6% of the total (123,700 tonnes, excluding dry sausages.)
