Brazil: the pork exports drop in terms of volume but increase in terms of value

During the first nine months of 2014, the Brazilian pork exports have added up to a total of 362,165 tonnes for a value of USD1,140 million.

During the first nine months of 2014, the Brazilian pork exports have added up to a total of 3612,165 tonnes for a value of USD1,140 million, which represents a drop by 6.97% in terms of volume but an increase by 12.29% in terms of value with respect to the same period in 2013.

Russia is the main destination, with a total of 129,499 tonnes exported for a value of USD562.49 million: a variation by 23.81% and 80.82%, respectively, in comparison with the same period in 2013.

Hong Kong, with 82.568 tones and USD204.7 million (a drop by 9.39% in terms of volume and by 6.63% in terms of income in comparison with the same period in 2013), is the second destination.
