The Minister of Agriculture, Mendes Ribeiro Filho, announced on Monday August 27 Japan’s recognition that pork produced in the State of Santa Catarina is free of FMD.

The next step, according to the minister, is the process of negotiation of export requirements and an International Health Certificate (CSI), which will support the export of pork to Japan from Santa Catarina.
