Brazil expressed its commitment in significant increase of pork supplies into Russia

In Brazilia, Alexey Alexeyenko, Assistant of the Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, met with Guilherme Marques, Director of the Livestock Department of the Secretariat for Animal and Plant Health and Secretariat for Inspections, and Lino Colsera, Director of the Department for Sanitary and Phytosanitary Cooperation of the Secretariat for Agrobusiness International Relations of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply.

The Brazilian party expressed its commitment in significant increase of pork supplies into Russia. In order to ensure stable and safe supplies of the Brazilian pork into the Russian market the parties agreed that there are good reasons for signing a framework bilateral agreement regulating the procedure for pork production and processing. The Brazilian party undertook a commitment to prepare such framework document and to submit it to the Russian experts for revision. In order to speed up the process of the document’s harmonization an establishment if special work group could be envisaged.
