ASF: Chinese pork imports doubled in July

In July, the Chinese pork imports have grown by 106.7% with respect to July 2018.

The latest data published by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China regarding pork imports last July show an important increase in comparison with July 2018. Whilst in July 2018 China imported 88,163 tonnes, in July 2019 the imports have more than doubled, reaching 182,227 tonnes (+106%).

In the first seven months of 2019, imports have grown by 36% in comparison with the same period in 2018 (1,000,930 tonnes vs. 736,148 tonnes).
