Argentina: Pork production down 1.1% through August

So far this year, pork production has shown a cyclical behavior.

According to the latest figures released by the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Argentina's Ministry of Economy, cumulative pork production from January to August decreased by 1.1% compared to the same period in 2021, from 465,593 to 460,617 tons (t).

Production for the month of August was 57,698 t, a decrease of 3.4% with respect to the same month of the previous year (59,721 t). However, with respect to July (56,980 t) production increased 1.3%.
