The Ministry of Agroindustry of Argentina, through the National Service of Agri-Food Health and Quality (SENASA), received the confirmation that Cape Verde has allowed the importation of Argentinian pork, beef and pig and cattle offal.

Argentina holds the 11th place as food supplier to Cape Verde. Both the total and the agribusiness trade balance show a surplus for Argentina with regard to its trade with Cape Verde.

Last year, Argentina exported to Cape Verde 26,708 tonnes of products from the agribusiness sector with a total value of USD5 million. 97.9% of the Argentinian exports to Cape Verde belong to the agribusiness sector, with maize, shellfish and tobacco standing out.
