According to records from the National Agrifood Health and Quality Service (Senasa) for 2023, Argentina has 76,737 swine facilities authorized by Senasa, with a total of 5,887,401 pigs registered in the National Sanitary Register of Agricultural Producers (Renspa) through 97,268 records associated with the industry.

By province, Buenos Aires has the largest number of establishments (14,815), followed by Córdoba (11,046) and Chaco (8,825).

The main use of the pork meat obtained is the production of sausages, cold cuts, and cured meats, and the main use for piglets is fresh consumption.
