Argentina negotiates pork exports to China

The president of the SENASA and Chinese Customs public servants made progress regarding the negotiations for the opening of markets for pork.

Within the framework of the business trip to China headed by the Minister of Agroindustry of Argentina, Mr Luis Miguel Etchevehere, the Chinese authorities confirmed the authorisation of 28 Argentinian companies for the export of Argentinian meat, including 26 beef abattoirs with cold storage premises, plus a cold storage plant and a fowl abattoir.

Also, during a meeting between the president of the SENASA, Mr Ricardo Negri, and Chinese Customs civil servants, progress was made regarding the negotiations for the opening of markets for pork and offal, bearing in mind the new animal health scenarios.
