Argentina: Increase in soybean exports

Soybean exports grew by 6.5% with respect to the same period in 2018.

According to a report drafted by the Ministry of Agroindustry of Argentina on the estimates for the period between January 1st and April 15th, 2019, the exports of soybean grew by 6.5% with respect to the same period in 2018.

This increase is being experienced in a campaign with a production 32.42% higher than in 2018, and it includes foreign sales of 213,184 tonnes of soybean (2.5% of the total), 1,383,917 tonnes of soybean oil (16.5%) and 6,781,453 tonnes of soybean meal (80.9%). The soybean processed products, such as soybean meal and soybean oil, amounted to 97.5% of the total exports.
