Vion: Changes to supervisory board

Vion announces today that Martine Snels has joined its supervisory board.

Martine Snels is supervisory board member of Electrolux Professional AB (Sweden) and Resilux NV (Belgium). During her career in the global food and agri industry, she served on the executive board of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft and FrieslandCampina and held various management positions at Nutreco and Kemin Industries Ltd.

Theo Koekkoek, chairman of the supervisory board, comments: “We are pleased to welcome Martine Snels as new member of the supervisory board of Vion. Her extensive international experience in the food and agri sector in particular in Germany is an added value to the supervisory board.”

Vion also announces today that Tom Heidman has decided to step down as member of the supervisory board as of 3 July 2020. Tom Heidman has been a member of the supervisory board as of 20 May 2014 and acted as interim CEO of Vion from 26 January 2015 until 1 September 2015.

Ronald Lotgerink, CEO of Vion, comments: “We regret Tom’s decision to step down. Tom Heidman played an important role in the development of Vion with his extensive commercial knowledge and extensive managerial experience. On behalf of everyone at Vion, I would like to thank him for his hard work and commitment to Vion”.

As of 3 July 2020 the supervisory board comprises: Theo Koekkoek (chairman), Marieke Bax, Hans Huijbers, Rogier Jacobs, Ton van der Laan and Martine Snels.
