Evonik has stated that the force majeure announced on Tuesday 12 November has now ended.

An issue with the hydrocyanic acid (HCN) supply caused a temporary shutdown of its methionine manufacturing facilities in Antwerp.

Dr. Emmanuel Auer, Head of Animal Nutrition Business Line at Evonik said: “We are pleased that we could solve the issue and resume MetAMINO® production.

“We would like to thank our customers for the patience and support shown whilst we resolved the situation.”
