The organizing committee for the 2028 International Pig Veterinary Society (IPVS) is postponing the organization of the event in Minneapolis. While Minneapolis was originally selected as the host city, the committee determined that shifting the U.S. hosting opportunity to 2030 would better accommodate the needs of all attendees.
The IPVS Board is working on securing a new host country for the 2028 event and will announce its selection at the upcoming 2026 Congress, set for June 16–19 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The University of Minnesota Swine Group will continue to serve as the lead event organizer for the 2030 IPVS Congress, working in close collaboration with colleagues across swine health and veterinary organizations, academic institutions, swine practitioners, sponsors and allied industries.
“We are committed to developing a robust scientific program for IPVS 2030 and providing an enriching environment for congress participants,” said Cesar Corzo, chair of the IPVS 2030 organizing committee and the Leman Chair in Swine Health & Productivity at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to Minneapolis in 2030.”
The IPVS Congress, one of the largest swine veterinarian events for the global pig industry, brings together swine health experts to showcase the latest scientific and technological advances in swine health and production research. The 2030 event will mark the first time in almost 30 years that the biennial Congress will be held in the United States.
