The submission of abstracts for the IPVS2022 Congress, the most important scientific event of the world’s pig farming, is opened until January 31st. The IPVS2022 will be held in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), marking the return of the event to Brazil after 34 years.

The first edition of the event in hybrid format will be held from June 21st and 24th, at Riocentro, and will have as its theme "New perspectives for the swine industry: biosafety, productivity and innovation". The objective is to discuss the main and most current issues related to the world’s swine industry.

To submit abstracts, they should fall into one of the following 12 thematic areas: viral diseases; bacterial diseases; immunology & vaccinology; food safety & parasites; reproduction; antimicrobials; welfare; nutrition; clinical cases; production & innovation; herd management and miscellaneous.

According to the president of the IPVS2022, Fernanda Almeida, it is important that the author follow the guidelines for submission available at the event’s website. "The abstracts accepted by the IPVS2022 Evaluation Committee may be presented in oral or poster form. Thus, at the time of submission, the author must choose the form of presentation, "she explains.

In Fernanda Almeida's opinion, this is a great opportunity to share the professional's research areas. "We will bring together important names of the world’s swine production interested in updating themselves on the latest scientific discoveries in the sector, which makes the event a showcase for new solutions and discoveries in the swine area," she says.
