The VITAMEX and the INVE group have reached an agreement on the sale of all shares of Premix Iberica, the Spanish premix activity of the INVE group, located near Toledo, Spain.

With this acquisition, VITAMEX wants to strengthen its position in the Spanish market. The Premix Iberica unit includes a modern production plant in which VITAMEX is also willing to produce its own products specially dedicated for the Spanish market.

The plant has 3 fully automated production lines, one being dedicated to the production of pelleted prestarter feedyoung animals. The VITAMEX group is a specialist in this market segment and as such this acquisition is a strong asset for the further development of the VITAMEX business

The agreement with VITAMEX fits into the new INVE group strategy, focussing on expanding its leading position in aquaculture (INVE Aquaculture) and specialty feed additives/flavour and sweeteners business (NUTRI-AD). Through this agreement, the Spanish INVE premix activities will be integrated into the dynamic and robust premix and specialty business approach of the VITAMEX Group.

VITAMEX and INVE expect the closing of the deal after due diligence by the end of July 2009.
