Asia's largest pig slaughterhouse to start operations in 2021

Techbank Food's breeding, slaughtering, and processing facility will have a 5 million-head annual capacity, making it the largest in all of Asia.

Techbank Food Co., Ltd. held its groundbreaking ceremony on May 15 for the new, largest single-body, 5 million-pig annual capacity slaughtering and processing complex in Asia.

Zhang Banghui, chairman of Techbank Food, explained the company has five major sectors: feed, pig breeding, pork products, biotechnology, and engineering environmental protection, and is committed to becoming a world-class meat company. In 2018, Techbank signed contracts with the city of Fuyang to establish a breeding, slaughtering, and processing project with a 5 million-head annual capacity.

Yang Guangrong, deputy governor of the provincial government and secretary of the Fuyang Municipal Party Committee, attended the groundbreaking ceremony and delivered an important speech. Governor Yang expressed his gratitude and congratulations to Techbank for investing in Fuyang, and asked governments at all levels to provide their full support.

This is Techbank's first integrated slaughtering and processing project, with a total investment of 1.35 billion yuan, covering an area of ​​360 acres, using the most advanced technology and equipment in the world. The first phase of the project will be completed and put into production in the second half of 2021. After the project is completed, the annual output value will be 15 billion yuan, the tax revenue will be 200-500 million yuan, and 3,000 workers will be employed, which will inject vitality into Fuyang's economy.
